In order to guarantee optimal safety and comfort for everyone, in the aircraft cabin you are only allowed one item of hand luggage. It may be accompanied by accessories such as a handbag, laptop computer, briefcase or coat and must comply with the new safety measures.
To consult the criteria for hand luggage, please view the luggage allowance table.
Important! All items not allowed in the cabin must go in the hold. When in doubt, feel free to ask the check-in staff.
Please note: despite all of the care and professionalism we devote each day to providing you with an optimal service, delays may occasionally be encountered in forwarding your hold baggage. To avoid any problems, please keep all vital items with you in your hand luggage (including keys, medicines, etc)
European regulations now require airlines to refuse to accept liquids in the cabin, except for the exceptions detailed below.
This applies to all flights departing from the European Union, including the overseas departments, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland.
The term "liquids" includes:
- liquids,
- gels,
- pastes,
- the content of pressurized containers (drinks, perfume, lotions, skin gel, shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste, shaving foam and any other item with a similar consistency),
- liquid cheeses or "fromage blanc" varieties of more than 100ml or 100g (mascarpone, fromage frais, yoghurt, dessert cream, etc),
- cream cheeses such as cheese spreads, of more than 100ml or 100g (Vache qui rit, Kiri, Boursin, St Morêt, etc.).
In accordance with the new regulations, fish and other aquatic animals may no longer travel in our airline cabins. These animals can now only be carried as freight.
You may take liquids vital to your health with you in the cabin, including:
When in the departure lounge, the security staff may ask you to demonstrate the authenticity of any liquids, either by means of a proof of purchase or a prescription, or by tasting them.
IMPORTANT: any liquids which do not meet the characteristics described above will be confiscated by the security staff in the departure lounge!
n order to ensure full compliance with the security and safety rules which apply in the airline industry, we would ask that you carefully read our tips for preparing your luggage. Certain types of baggage are not authorized for air transport or must be packed in special packaging in order to be accepted. (In particular, pay careful attention to hidden dangerous items!).
Furthermore, the airline company's liability is limited in the event of loss, theft or damage and so supplementary insurance may sometimes be necessary.
The customer is considered fully liable for any problems onboard as a result of the transportation of dangerous items in luggage bearing his name, if these items have not been declared at check-in.
Some dangerous items may be "hidden":
IMPORTANT : diving torches must always be separated from their power sources (batteries, bulbs, storage cells, etc) and placed in the hand luggage.
Diving cylinders are allowed in the hold. These must always be emptied and their tops removed. They are included in your hold baggage allowance.
For further information for specific cases, please feel free to contact us on 0820 042 042.
For health and safety reasons, a number of items are absolutely forbidden onboard the aircraft, in the cabin or in the hold. You are naturally fully liable if you carry any of these dangerous items, and fail to declare them at the time of check-in.
If you are in any doubt as to whether you can carry certain goods (in the hold or cabin) please contact us on 0820.042.042.
We would like to remind you that your luggage must be locked, and labeled both inside and outside with your last name, first name and permanent address.
Please note: the airline may not be held liable for the following items carried in checked-in luggage :
For these last two categories in particular, we strongly recommend that you take out specific private insurance covering these types of items, protecting you in the event of loss or damage.
The weight concept is applied for all destinations, with the exception of Fort-de-France, Pointe-à-Pitre, Saint-Martin and Canada:
Your luggage is carried free of charge up to a certain weight limit, which varies from destination to destination. Above this allowance, we are obliged to charge a price supplement for each excess kilo.
To view the authorized allowances for our destinations in addition to the price per excess kilo: click here
Any items or luggage which do not meet these requirements and which are presented for check-in without the prior approval of the airline will be refused.
For babies (0 to 2 years): an allowance of 10 kg of hold baggage is allocated to our youngest travelers, regardless of the baggage concept applicable to your destination. What's more, baby's pushchair travels free of charge.
For students, a special allowance is granted upon presentation of a valid student card.

Unaccompanied luggage must imperatively be dropped off several hours before your departure or even the previous day in the freight area except for that collected directly from your home. A transport file will then be drawn up by our correspondents, including a number of important documents :
Our correspondent will inform you of the scheduled lead time for forwarding your goods, subject to availability. Caution: this information is non-contractual and provided for information purposes only. In compliance with the rules of the security section, the shipment of your goods may be delayed (for example if the consolidated shipment reveals opaque areas when scanned with x-rays). Consequently, we advise that you check with the Freight Department at your end destination to ensure that your shipment has been received before going to fetch it.
Upon arrival, your freight will be stored in the holding warehouse while awaiting processing or delivery. You should take care as at some destinations you may be subject to warehousing costs if you do not collect your shipment within 2 or 3 days following its arrival!
Packaging: items are handled several times during transportation and it is important to ensure that each of your shipments includes sufficiently strong and sturdy packaging to avoid any damage.
If your shipment requires special packaging, please feel free to contact our correspondents for advice: contacts
Your declaration of the contents enables the airline to identify "at risk" items and to take the necessary precautions, and so you should be sure to draw up an exhaustive list of your products in order that the necessary temperature and handling precautions may be taken (fruit and vegetables, fish, glass bottles, etc).
Due to the need for customs checks, our correspondents must be able to access the contents of your shipment (if locked, you should provide a duplicate set of keys).
You can also take out ad valorem insurance for the transportation of your unaccompanied items/luggage as freight (invoice required). For shipments with a high market value, specific transport conditions apply - please enquire beforehand (example: works of art, etc.).
Please note: airline regulations are complex and extremely strict, so please feel free to ask us any questions concerning acceptance criteria (quantity limitations/required documents/packaging, etc).
(Examples of hazardous items: aerosols, perfumes, strong alcoholic drinks, corrosive or flammable liquids, batteries, fireworks, refills for lighters, camping stove bottles, gas bottles, etc).
